Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Atlanta, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) setting, including those transitioning from acute or critical care
Monitor and manage post-surgical and medically complex patients requiring close observation and specialized treatment
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established care plans
Evaluate and document patient conditions, progress, and responses to treatment on an ongoing basis
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate and optimize patient care outcomes

Required Qualifications

Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact licensure eligibility
Demonstrated experience in a PCU, intermediate care, or stepdown unit setting
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and effective interdisciplinary teamwork

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior experience in a transplant or specialty PCU environment
Familiarity with managing post-surgical patients with complex medical needs
Experience working night shifts in a high-acuity hospital setting
